Who are/were these guys and where are they now?

The promotion was formed in 1994 by Goro Tsurumi, who had debuted in the original Kokusai promotion, which Hisa refers to as IWE. It was Tsurumi's way of paying tribute to his original home promotion, by reviving the original title governing body (International Wrestling Alliance, not to be confused with IWAssociation Japan), he finally got approval from the family of the original IWE promoter Isao Yoshiwara to use the heavyweight belt originally used by IWE.

They changed the name to Kokusai Promotion in about 1998, apparently to avoid confusion with IWA Japan. Sanshiro Takagi, DDT's top star, started in Kakutoshijuku and later split with Tsurumi.

Apparently, the promotion experienced some kind of revival back in April after nearly two years of silence, as Super Iron Hercules and Iron Hercules I won their tag titles.

Ultraman Robin (real name Jun Ouchi) split with Tsurumi but not entirely as he retained control of the IWA mid-heavyweight title. He now runs another independent called SGP (Specialist Global Pro Wrestling) which centers around him and this title.
