    a question about T2P...

I just got my first Toryumon 2000 Project video, and I was blown away! Fantastic action!

But I have got to ask... what's the deal with Kinya Oyanagi? The two matches I saw (both agaisnt TARU) were hilarious, but what's his character's story?

And while I'm asking, what about the Syachihoko Machines?

Cruel enough for me to feel no grief...

Hey, I'm glad you liked it. Some real interesting stuff.

Kinya Oyanagei is a member of a defeated Philipino army. He lost his memory and doesn't remember who he is or who he fought for, just that he was in an army. So he salutes a lot, and does military exercises. He's recently taken the persona of a Japanese schoolboy, and studies (he actually runs through a good portion of the match while looking at a book) and hand raising instead of saluting. He's a gifted comedy wrestler, and a good worker with charisma out the yin-yang. I think he'd make a great heel, doing silly stuff to embarrass opponents.

The Syachihoko Machines are based the Syachihoko, a beast from Japanes mythology with the head of a tiger, and the body of a whale.

More information can be found at Toryumon USA

Thanks for the information and the link. Lots of great stuff to see there.

You're right about Kinya being a great in-ring performer. Not just his wrestling, but his ability to make people laugh with a look. And his triple Banzai splash could become the Crab Walk Elbow of the new millenium...

PS: 4 Machines? Imagine a match between them... HAH!

Well, judging from the end of the Oyanagei/Raimu match at the Toryumon/T2P show recently, it looks like they're fueding....so it's possible. It would be interesting (and confusing)
