I don't know what the best tapes are I only have one Toryumon tape in my collection but it's a pretty good one. It's the 9-30-01 tv special. It has a terrific main event I think they called it a golden net cage elimination match or something like that you'll be happy with it. For Mpro again I only have one 2 tape set of the 1995 masked league tourny. They are about 5 to 5 1/2 hours total of great wrestling on it but I really can't recommend it because of 40 or 45 matches on the tape the vast majority are clipped highlights. If you don't mind that pick them up and give them a try however I'm pretty sure they have some better stuff out there. Personally I love the tag match they had on ECW's Barely Legal ppv.
Well, for Toryumon I'd suggest the 3rd Anniversary show from 2001. It's got Crazy Max v Sasuke, Tiger Mask 4 & Gran Hamada, M2K v Dragon Kid, Ryo Saito & Ricky Marvin, and also Masaaki Mochizuki v Magnum TOKYO, all of which are very good. Other than that, this year's 4th Anniversary show was pretty good, with a decent Ricky Marvin match and a 3-way Triples match which was very good.
As for Michinoku, if you like the 6/8/10 mans from the mid-nineties, go for something like "These Days" or "Heartbreak". For more recent stuff, check out this year's Tohoku Junior Title Tournament finals with the likes of Liger, Sasuke, TAKA Michinoku, Shinzaki, Curry Man & Jody Fleisch in tags, and Dick Togo v Tiger MAsk 4 in the final.
As for Toryumon, I also liked the 3rd Anniversary show a lot. I believe the date was 7/1/01 and was shown on ppv. I would highly recommend checking out any of the T2P shows as well. I don't have a huge assortment of M-Pro tapes but I had always heard "These Days" was very good.
These Days is a great tape. One of my favorites. I also have a tour that M-Pro did of England back in 96 that I'm really fond of for some reason. There's just something about it that I fell in love with.
As far as Toryumon, I've only got 3 or 4 tapes. My favorite would probably have to be Dragon Heart, which was a great lucharesu show, but since I only have that and 2 or 3 TV blocks I'm sure there are better shows out there.
"These Days" is a really good one, the 10-Man tag is good and the Shinzaki V Hayabusa match is well good, "Michinoku Mania" has a few good matches and Shinzaki Vs Susake is one of the best M-Pro matches i've seen yet. The 95' Tournament is really good i watch it when im off school, takes up 5 hours of time!
Im gonna get some Toryumon and Osaka Pro tapes for X-mas aswell as FMW, CMLL, CZW, and NOAH (I've been told i will like it but i have no idea what its like *hint hint clever people*) I will have many hours of wrestling to watch yay!
Id say the best Mpro tape iv seen is Mpro "heartbreak" from dec 96 just after these days. Its got a 10 man just as good as these days plus the rest of the tapes far better than the these days undercard with 2 great taka matches.
