I have not watched any Toryumon, but heard that the moved Deja Vu and Christo by Dragon Kid are AWESOME! Can anyone give me a description of them, or a link to pics/clips?
this Kid must be a gamer because Ive heard of his Dragonrana and thats crazy enough , I am really interested to see what these moves are... actually I dunno much on this guy except Im guessing he was trained by Ultimo Drago and info or pics on him I would like to see. Espicially the Deja Vu and the Christo
"Life is based less than you think on what you've learned, and much more than you think on what you have inside you right from the beginning." -- Bret Hart
The Deja-Vu is an excellent move. Amazing Red (Feugo Geurrero) uses it too. It's a flying head scissors into a DDT. I haven't seen Dragon Kid's Christo, but I've heard it's a gravity-defying submission hold. Apparently he spins around his opponent's back a number of times before locking it in. I'd sure as hell like to see it, so if anyone's got links to a pic or movie of it, post it.
Deja Vu is when DK spins around his opponent several times(I've seen 3 full revolutions) before delivering a headscissors.
Christo is a bizzare submission where his opponent is standing and DK is completely off the ground. Can't explain it, if I find a picture I'll post it.
Dragon's Ray. Opponent is near the corner. DK runs at them, like he's about to rana them, but the opponent instead leapfrogs him to the top turnbuckle, where DK lands, hops back onto his opponents shoulders, and rana's them.
Dragoncanrana: Front flip into rana
Bermuda Triangle: Quebrada from middle ring to outside, only DK is in the ring, facing away from opponent.
Springboard rana
Ace Crusher
A lot of other types of Ranas and headscissors variations, and overly elaborate moves in genral.
Nope, but I can describe the Christo for you. A friend of mine informed me it's on, of all things, the new SmackDown game for playstation 2. I had a look at it, and I'll try to describe it:
Kid jumps up and performs a headscissors motion on his opponent, but actually stops mid-move (so he's sorta horizontal behind his opponent), and locks his opponents arms behind their back (one arm with DK's arms, one with DK's legs), and pulls.
Hmmm.. on re-reading that, it doesn't do the Christo justice, and makes it sound way more complicated than it is, but I can't think of a better way of describing it. My friend said that DK often executes a number of headscissor revolutions before locking in the hold (hence why I had heard that he 'span around his opponents back' a number of times).
Thank you, Muiyan. I didn't notice it before, but the final position of DK (after performing the head scissor motions) definitely resembles the Crucifix move.
I've found a picture of the Christo! This is Amazing Red performing on Yang
That's the final position of the Christo, although Red and DK perform a headsciccors motion before locking it in.
I got it from www.amazingred.com (giving credit where credit is due)
Dragon kid is very awesome...I have over 35 Toryumon tapes and have followed him since the beginning of Toryumon. He has set the standards for high flying and lucha style. Red stole a lot of moves from him, but is def. no Dragon Kid..protoge of Ultimo Dragon. Don't get me wrong Red is great...but Dragon kid is greater...nothing beats his Dragon Rana. If you wanna check something out that's really cool...check out when Darkness Dragon counters Dragon kid's Christo wit an elevated submission of his own called the Judah. It's awesome.
Can any of you recommend a tape/event where DK does both or either of these moves???
Pretty much every match he wrestles in.....arm drag->front flip over dropped down opponent->deja vu, opponent to the floor->tiger feint->pose->bermuda triangle........Kid has gotten pretty boring.
