the Hexagonal Ring in Toryumon?

Just watched the Toryumon special where Darkness Dragon lost his mask vs Dragon Kid.

I noticed that some of the matches were taking place in this hexagonal ring. When did they start using it and what is everyones thoughts on it?

The hexagonal ring is (or was) used by T2P. The match you saw was on a Toryumon Japan/T2P interpromotional show where both rings were used, depending on what the wrestlers picked at the beginning of the show. Anyway, I'm all for the hexagonal ring, it makes for some interesting spots, and works well with the T2P style.

I saw that Toryumon/T2P show on 9-8-02, that was a great show. Anyways, you can't really call it interpromotional. It's all the same ownership, owned by Ultimo Dragon. And plus, T2P wrestlers wrestle on Toryumon shows all the time. And besides, they are stopping the T2P shows, and only doing the regular toryumon shows. So it's all one promotion now.

Well, at the time it was interpromotional, because, while T2P workers would often show up at Toryumon shows and vice versa, they were being run as seperate entities, with seperate shows. But now that T2P is officially over, I wonder what will become of the hexagonal ring?

I'm sure they'll bring them back on occasion. Those 6 sided rings were great, they better not stop using them!!!

Actually at a recent show...T2P had its last show and retired the ring for good. T2P has been disbanded now because of a match that Cima won over AT Milano.

WHAT!!!!!!!!! They retired the 6-sided ring?!?! NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Must...take out...anger!!!!!!!!
They should bring the hex ring back on occasions, or I'll be mad.

Yea they retired it... and it was really sad because everyone was like standing in the ring who was part of the original T2P promotion...I think that they may bring it back for special occasions or something. I agree the six sided ring was cool. I really hope they bring it back at some point.

It's done. Won't be back. X will use a normal ring when they come. The 1/27 T2P show was called "Last Hexagon" by most of the wrestlers.
