    Ultimo Dragon's return????

I've read rumors from, well......uh, wrestling rumor sites about Ultimo Dragon's return. Is it possible? Is this real or a joke or, as is the case with many rumor sites, just a bunch of hooey?

He's planning to return according to Nikkan Sports. He had a surgery on his left arm last month.

Hisa, in all honesty and your personal opinion, do you think that Asai will make an impact on the Puroresu scene? It's sad to say, but he's been out for quite a while, he's 35, and who knows what his ring condition is like.

In my opinion, if he can shake ring rust, and is every bit as good before the unfortunate arm injury, then Toryumon's gotten even more hotter than it already is (What with the T2P angles and also the Masaaki Mochizuki debate). If not, then could we possibly see another booker gone bad, putting himself over instead of the other talent?

Magnum TOKYO, Dragon Kid and Ultimo Doragon vs. SUWA (if he leads M2K) Genki Horiguhi and Susumu Mochizuki would have all the makings of a Jr. Heavyweight Classic.

I don't think 35 is that bad of a age to make a comeback, but I'm more concerned about his arm. Even if his arm is still in a bad condition, I'm sure he'll make some impact since he's already a bigname anyway.

As for putting himself over, I would like to think not. He's the one who has been training all those future lucha stars in Toryumon, and I doubt he'd waste the effort he's been putting on his gym.

I don't think that 35 is an unreasonable age to make a comeback at all. Wasn't the original Tiger Mask somewhere in the range of 40 when he made his "comeback"?

Im not sure If im thinking of the same sayama comeback as you, but the match I saw, he had a belly to put the sandman to shame :P

The fact that Ultimo is returning alone will make a huge impact, so no need to worry Benji

Yes it probably was the same match, BurningSpirit....heh thats why I put the word comeback in quotation marks....

But as for Ultimo returning...I am soooo glad! To think of what he could have already accomplished if the WCW doctors weren't so retarded....

35 isnt unreasonable for a comback at all... Hogan is in his upper 40's and he just made his return and he looks great. Flair was way past 50 and he looked better in the ring at the Royal Rumble then he did at the end of his WCW run... Personally I would Love to se Ultimo Dragon make a comeback

I'm not sure if that's a good comparison...

Ultimo Dragon's style is totally different from Flair's or Hogan's. Neither Flair nor Hogan will ever have to move around in the ring as much as lucha style requires.

Granted their styles are different but the point I was making was Flair and Hogan are acceptionally older and should be able to somewhat still cut it. Terry Funk his somewhere in the range of 57, give or take, and he still can deliver moonsaults and such so Ultimo Drangons return should be a definate possibility...

P.S. how do you put the little characters underneath your Login Name when you post??
