The Tiger = Ultimo Dragon?

Liger was in a big match, teaming with the returning Tsubasa (who got a the rub today) against Super Delfin & The Tiger (Yoshihiro "Ultimo Dragon" Asai). Liger helped Tsubasa to victory in his return match."

But that is all he said. Do any of you know anything about this? Is he wrestling without his mask now, changing his name permenantly, or was the name change just a one night special thing for Osaka Pro?

isn't Ultimo still under contract with the WWE?

I remember hearing rumors some months ago about how he was going to return from Japan and take up some gimmick where he found his true inner self while in Japan so he would ditch the mask and turn heel

why is Ultimo still in Japan then?

Yes, it's true. Asai has adopted a new gimmick because the Ultimo Dragon thing is pretty much over with since WWE let him go. I'm not sure if he's ashamed because WWE wasn't interested in him anymore and he doesn't want to go back to DG as a failure... Or if WWE is holding onto the rights to his gimmick or something. He's getting kind of old in years and it's starting to show. Maybe he should retire. Or go maskless...?

The Tiger is his tribute to Sayama. The reason the name is so boring is because Sayama pretty much used every variation of the name you can think of.

Ok this is from SSS....im just going to answer with what i answered with on that messageboard or something along the lines of it.

Im not very pleased with the new gimmick because im getting of seeing tigers and dragons. It think its time to just drop the gimmicks involving tigers and dragons and pick up on new animals. A whalfin maybe...Whalfin mask? Super Whalfin? or maybe STUNK!
