    Michinoku Pro question

    Sasuke, Sasuke the Great, and The Great Sasuke are different people right? I've only seen The Great Sasuke, so it's confusing.

    The Great Sasuke wrestled as a heel under the SASUKE moniker (with a slightly altered costume.)....Sasuke the Great is a different person. Both of them wrestled in J-Cup 2000....

    and Sasuke the Great sucks...he got disqualified in the first round...(allowing *ugh* Ricky Fuji to advance)

    I saw results from a MPW card a few years back which featured other Sasukes - one I remember was Great Sasuke Multitype (?). Anyone have any idea what that was about?

    Well, what I saw of Sasuke The great he wasn't too bad, but I have him on my Dick Togo return match. He didn't seem to bad in tag matches.

    I've heard that Masao Orihara wrestled some matches as "Sasuke the Great". Michinoku Pro seems to have a thing with impostors!

    Also:

    NOAH's Daisuke Ikeda wrestled as "Sasuke Dyna".....I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

    Masao Orihara

    I believe that Masao Orihara, along with Takeshi Ono, formed the Nishimondo Gundam (someone correct me there, PLEASE!), which were a bunch of rudo imposters of wrestlers like The Great Sasuke (Sasuke the Great - Orihara), Tiger Mask (Masked Tiger - Ono) and Gran Naniwa (NANIWA). From my recollection, they roamed indy feds as these characters (with masked girls also) looking for fights and running down the name of The Great Sasuke.

    This was after the heel turn of Great Sasuke, who became known as SASUKE (all in capitals) and had these punk help him for a short time.

    NANIWA came in last, I think.

    Sasuke Dyna = Daisuke Ikeda
    Sasuke Tiga = Yuki Ishikawa
    (These are obvious takes on the Ultraman series. I'm not a fan of Ultraman, but I couldn't help noticing it.)
    NANIWA = Hiroyoshi Kotsubo
