As for Ultimo Dragon, no, he doesn't wrestle anymore. While he was with WCW, a doctor did a very bad job on an arm surgery. There was a talk about his comeback last year, but it hasn't happened.
I have a copy of a Weekly Gong from this early this year when they have a feature on Ultimo and some surgery that he underwent. The surgery was supposed to enable him to wrestle again and for a while it was big news - but it sees to have died down - can anyone add any light to this?
It is sad when a talented wrestler such as the Ultimo Dragon, has their career hampered do to the fact a surgery went wrong. I to wish him good luck on a return.
He was a great in ring worker. It seems as if now he is a very good trainer too. It would be nice to see him return to the ring if he can do so without further injuring himself.
Last I heard he was 99% cleared to go, only had to have a couple other things checked on and he'd be good to go. I would assume that everything didn't check out and he's just kept it quiet. I'm sure we all long for the day when te greatest juniopr to ever live can once again step into the squared circle.
Well pal, Liger has had a longer, more successful career having great matches with a lot more varied people than Dragon has.
I still like Dragon, but Liger was better.
apples and oranges, eh? you're quite right. i guess the only way to decide this is to have a dragon vs. liger match and see who the best really is. personally, i like watching them both too much to decide. it really is a shame about dragon's injury. dragon vs. liger would be awesome.
Yeah, they had a few matches together along the way, but too many that I know about. I've got a tag match from WAR(I think it's either from 95 or 96) and when the 2 of them are in the ring Dragon is carrying Liger like Mutoh carried Hogan. I know Liger tends to non-NJ shows, but even so it was still pretty ridiculous. Comparing Ultimo and Liger is like comparing Inoki and Hase. Both are great workers, probably legends, but in both cases the former have put themselves in a leauge of their own no one can compete with.
