I am pleased to announce that the Cauliflower Alley Club will be honouring Rhonda Sing posthumously at their annual convention on April 3-6 in Las Vegas. Rhonda's brother Jack will be accepting the honour. Rhonda was best known as AJW heel Monster Ripper from 1978-1984. Rhonda was born and raised in Calgary and was childhood pals with the Harts, especially Owen. Stu Hart trained her and sent her to Mildred Burke who took her to Japan at the age of 17. Rhonda held the WWWA Singles Title several times. Her accomplishments in AJW were very unique for a North American woman wrestler. Rhonda died in 2001 at age 41. She is the first woman wrestler from the 70s to be honoured by the CAC. It is well deserved.
Her name was Rhonda Sing. There's no "h". Stu Hart added the "h" when Rhonda was in the Karachi Vice heel group at Calgary's Stampede Wrestling in the mid 80s.
