It's a shame they have to main event this dog of a card. I can't imagine this show being successful financially or artisically but of course I'll buy it as soon as it goes on sell.

    news

Ayako Hamada defeated Momoe Nakanishi for the WWWA World title on 2003/05/11 in Yokohama. Depending on how long her reign will be, there's a possibiliy of her title defenses overseas. According to Nikkan Sports, Hamada is scheduled to wrestle on two cards in the U.S. (PWF) and one in Mexico (EMLL) this year.

Nikkan Sports also says Hamada currently holds UWA and WWA world titles.

Also on the same card, Yumiko Hotta announced her departure from All Japan Women's, and Nanae Takahashi announced her retirement.

    Ayako

This is a great day In my opinion, that a freelancer has won such a belt is a testament to her ability.

I don't know. I hope it works out for her I like her a lot but I'm thinking she might have been better off to run the other way when they offered her this belt. They've lost around a third of their roster and have a 17-shows-in-18-days tour to go. I'm afraid Zenjo is dead when NJ gets it's joshi promotion off the ground or when Momoe leaves whichever is first. Still it's a big achievement for her.
