Yuu Tanabe will be wrestling on the NEO 5/3 and 5/5 shows. According to Trocar Slush Weasel she is the 11 year old daughter of the head instructor of the training center Mima Shimoda goes to. She is a 4'6 and 77 lbs karate/wrestling enthusiast. I hope she comes out of it all right I mean a lot of accidents can happen in the ring. Hopefully they will work out a couple of comedy matches to protect her however who knows she might be a legitimately tough fighter. I hope Vinnie Mac does hear about this or Scott Steiner will be facing a 5th grader on the next RAW. You can find a photo of her here.
I can see it now. Steiner squashes her like no one has ever been squashed before. He puts in the Steiner Recliner and she looks to be dead. Stacy then comes out, announces that she's going to be Freakzilla's new PR lady and presents his new "Lady Killer - still working on the second 20,000" t-shirt.
Wrestling has fallen into a sorry state when you can't find anyone willing to do a job for an 11 year old kid like this. If I were booking Neo I would give her a Goldberg sized push at least until school started back I mean how much money can she make?
I finally got around to watching this show yesterday they put on a comedy match. She came out dressed in a pink gi with a green teddybear and her team did a dance before the bell. The crowd was way into her every move. An adult was close by almost every time she was in the ring to help her out but she didn't blow any moves. She got to sell only two moves- Tanny gave her the softest bodyslam ever and Yuki gave her a good legdrop that she had to kick out of. She also did a couple of funny spots one time Tanny had her by the hair at arm's length and she was trying to punch her and missing by a mile and Yuki slapped her and she squated down and started to cry and Yuki went to see if she was o.k. but she punched her in the stomach. They teased her doing some sort of jump off the 2nd turnbuckle 2 or 3 times but if she ever did they cut it out. Chaparita Asari's retirement match was o.k. I had hoped for something better. Yoshida or Hyuga might have been better opponent for her but they cut it down by four minutes so it might have been really good. They showed her ceremony in highlight form but it was nice to see Yoshida, Aja and others honoring her. I can't really recommend the tape because the 4-21 TV show was really poor but if you get a chance to buy the 5-5 retirement show by itself it might be worth it.
She's back. Doesn't this kid go to school? Yuu Tanabe vs DJ Nira in a Vale Tudo match at NEO's 11/3 Korakuen Hall show. Leave it to an 11 year old to show Inoki how to market a Vale Tudo match.
