Momoe quits Zenjo

Daily's website is reporting Momoe Nakanishi is leaving AJW after the 7-6 show. She is going to be taking some time off to recuperate from neck problems and then will be a free agent. The article mentions GAEA and A to Z by name as possiblities as well as wrestling for Zenjo as a free agent. Goodbye Zenjo it was nice knowing you.

If she goes with A to Z it won't be so bad she'll be able to work with Akino, Yoshida, and Fujita but I'm afraid GAEA will get her and she'll be stuck in a bear suit working clipped opening matches with Sakura until 2025. I wish NJPW would get their project off the ground then at least she would have some options.

Jeez, first Mima Shimoda retires, now the only reason I watch Zenjo is leaving, WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh well, ARSION would be a good fit for her no? Iean what reason would she have in going to GAEA, other than to job to all the other established stars.

Momoe said today that she plans to take time off to recover from her injured neck. When she returns, she says she will freelance. Kaoru Ito wants to leave Zenjo but is still talking to them. Takahashi is leaving too. Who's left? Watanabe, Maekawa, Noumi, Jaguar, Dump. None of them can carry the company and they don't have any young talent that's any good. Remember that it's well known that Zenjo won't bring in wrestlers from other feds so don't expect them to hire Hyuga full time. If the Matsunagas had any brains they would shut the doors and save further embarassment, Unfortunately, they're very stubborn so I don't think they will do that. It's very sad that the legacy of the red belt will die like this. They should sell it to A To Z. BTW, we now know that they took the red belt off Momoe because they were concerned that she would bolt and they don't have to worry about that with Ayako. Too bad it's meaningless now.

You said it. That is why they are in this mess now they won't change. Down here we say in this situation it's time to fish or cut bait. I'm afraid they are going to try and hang on like JWP but I would shut it down while I still had the payday from the 35th anniversary show in my pockets. If they still hold the title to their offices and Dojo they'll do all right. If they decide to fish they have to sign outsiders and quick- Hamada and Hyuga for starters to try and slow the bleeding however I believe it's too late. I guess we will know for sure after the 7/6 show. It actually be fun to see how they book the Noumi-Hamada vs Momoe-Nanae match.
