    Question AWF Tite History

I want to know the "real" history of the AWF Title(Now cotrolled by NEO).
This title come out on 1997/08/13 in JAPAN.
Same day Emi Motokawa get this title from Luna Vachone.
Motokawa was recognizes as 2nd Champion. So Luna was 1st champion.
But When did Luna get this title?
Championship Belt likes American Wrestling Federation(based on Illinois)'s it.
Follwing as Wrestling Title Histories AWF didn't cotrolle Women's Title.
Anyone Please information of true story.

    My English is poor, sorry.

Watashi no nihongo wa warui desu. Totemo warui.

AWF Title History (Up till 2002)

As far as I can tell, the title has nothing to do with any American companies: not Alabama Wrestling Federation, not Appalachian Wrestling Federation and not Apocalypse Wrestling Federation or any others with the AWF abbreviation.

Motokawa initially won the title at an IWA show, so it could have been IWA's attempt at a women's title/division. IWA also might have had Luna Vachon as "champion" to give more credibility to the belt.

    Thank you for your response.
I thought that AWF come from U.S.A.
    But my thinking is wrong.
    Thank you.

I may be wrong, but I believe the belt itself was from the American Wrestling Federation (AWF) which ran shows in the western U.S. in California,Nevada and MAYBE elsewhere. They DID have their TV show on a local station late night on the weekend here in Phoenix,Arizona. Luna Vachon WAS indeed their women's champion and from the pictures I've seen of the championship belt,it appears to be the very same one. Luna probaly showed up with the belt when the AWF folded and used it it to get booked in Japan and make a few decent paydays. She probably had no problem dropping the BELT in Japan in return, as at this point there was only the physical title belt itself and no offically recognized championship by any company,...other than in Japan.
