    [GAEA] Hokuto retires

    Akira Hokuto announced her retirement during a GAEA card at Kourakuen Hall on 2002/01/14. Her retirement match will take place on 2002/04/07 at Yokohama Culture Gym. As her first countdown match, she will be team with Las Cachorras Orientales (Etsuko Mita & Mima Shimoda) on 2002/02/08 at Kourakuen Hall.

    retirement match announced

    Akira Hokuto's retirement match on 2002/04/07 at Yokohama Culture Gym was announced. Hokuto will team with Meiko Satomura to face Chigusa Nagayo & Ayako Hamada, who recently left ARISION to become a free agent.

    2002/04/07 Yokohama

    Akira Hokuto finished her 17-year career as a wrestler. She teamed with Meiko Satomura and defeated the team of Chigusa Nagayo and Ayako Hamada when Hokuto pinned Hamada.
    After the match, Hokuto said to Nagayo, "Northern light bomb is yours. Accept my spirit."

    Her husband Kensuke Sasaki (New Japan) and 3-year old son were also in attendance.
