Momoe Nakanishi, Mariko Yoshida, AKINO & Michiko Ohmukai held a press
conference today to announce that their new group is called M's
Style. Obviously all four first names start with "M". They will
continue to freelance but the first M's Style show will be on April 4
at the Differ Ariake in Tokyo. They plan to put on a total of five
shows. They have added baby-A (Former A To Z wrestler), Yuka Enda (A
To Z trainee never made her debut) and Teruko Kagawa (former JD Star
wrestler) to the roster. Expect more wrestlers to be added in the
near future. They will be opening an office in a couple of weeks and
are looking for a dojo. Momoe also said she wants to get the WWWA
Singles Title back so look out Amazing Kong. Obviously the Japanese
media knows that New Japan's Masahiro Chono is behind this and that
appears to be true. Michiko Ohmukai talked about this. It seems like
Chono really wanted Ohmukai to be his valet and become a "Diva". She
decided instead to try and convince Chono that the girls can put on a
show as good as the guys so that's what they're going to do. Yoshida
said the four have been talking about this since November but I
believe that Ohmukai & Nakanishi have been planning this for almost a
year. As I've said before, Kyoko Hamaguchi winning the Olympics is
the key to all of this but it looks like New Japan is definitely
getting into the joshi business.
I watched the final ARSION show and the debut of A to Z and the hate that I saw in AKINO's eyes, andher EVERYHTHING was as real as it gets. This was no Eddie Geurrero type of emotion from Smackdown 1-15-03, this was shoot style HATE.
One question for frankp316. Where do you get your news items from? Is it a Japanese site in Japanese, or is it an English fansite? Thank you.
Lately, I've been going to Japanese websites and using a translator. Sometimes a news site, sometimes a fan site. It depends. Something like this was covered by all the Japanese media so it depends which one does the best job and I can write the article from there. A fan site can be good for results from individual shows. I got the Yoshida Xmas day incident from a fan site. I have a joshi Yahoo group and a weekly column on 1wrestling.com to feed so I can't wait around for someone else to report it.
How does your translator work, if you don't mind me asking. Does your computer need to recognize Japanese characters first? Or does the translator do it all for you?
No there are plenty of online translators. I'm using Excite's version right now. A lot of people are familiar with Babelfish. This one is easier to use. There are two buttons there. Obviously the one on the left is to translate English to Japanese and the one on the right is to translate Japanese to English. You want the one on the right. Enter the url you want to translate and though it isn't perfectly translated, it's not difficult to figure out. Japanese is a very strange language. I write my article from that. I got the press conference from sportsnavi.com so try that out.
I wish them them so much luck and I hope Chono takes them. And from the picture, my goodness they are four of the most beautiful women ever. "Those the kind of girls you take them home to meet mama" as Fred Sanford would say.

They've scheduled a second show in late April in Osaka but they haven't announced the cards yet. Momoe, AKINO & Chama continue to freelance and AKINO has started teaching a class in pro wrestling at U-File. Yoshida hasn't worked any shows.
