This is the order that I have the show in. Maybe the order is different on the DVD. I don't know.

    Arsion CARNIVAL '99 (12/99, 2 hrs)
    12/11/99 Yokohama Virgin '99
    2. Yumi Fukawa vs Candy Okutsu
    3. Mary Appache/Ai Fujita vs Rie Tamada/Linda Starr
    4. Chapparita Asari vs Hiromi Yagi
    5. Michiko Oumaki/Magnum Tokyo vs Mikiko Futagami/Sumo Fuji
    6. Aja Kong vs Mariko Yoshida (Queen Of Arsion Title)
    7. Ayako Hamada/Mika Akino vs Mima Shimoda/Etsuko Mita (Twinstar of Arsion Tag Title)

I don't speak Japanese but I speak wrestling so the storyline is very simple. Shimoda & Mita invade ARSION and beat the crap out of everyone. Aja Kong takes them on in a handicap match in an effort to stop them but gets clobbered too. Her 18 year old protege Ayako Hamada gets mad and the match is made. It's excellent booking because Aja takes a major beating to elevate Ayako & AKINO to main event status. They're the underdogs and Shimoda & Mita don't seem to take them seriously and laugh at them. A lot of bookers who are wrestlers too are way too selfish to book like that. That you think it's real shows you how well it was booked because it's an angle. Of course the match is a classic too.

    that helps alot...
but it does beg for a followup question.

was that the forst match between them?
i assumed it was a blowoff to a long fued.

if it wasn't did they have any other matches?
because i would definetly would like to see more.

I don't know if they had any matches after that but I'm pretty sure this was the first match. The LCO invasion of ARSION built up to the match. It was about Ayako & AKINO standing up for Aja and putting the belts up to get LCO in the ring.

It also continued a tried storyline from AJW, I believe.
When LCO made their turn and embraced full Hokuto-style violence in 97, they took over the top heel position, notably by dismantling Aja.
Itoh and Watanabe played saviours in another classic bloodfest (Rage in the Cage). I think that amtch did as much to establish them as the Carnival 99 did for HamaKINO, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was what Aja and Rossy had in mind when they booked the whole thing in ARSION.
