This article is mainly about JD Star. I don't know this Ichimaru guy, but I wonder if he even has an enough experience in this business to make a judgement when he says, "unless things change drastically in women's professional wrestling, the entire sport is finished."
I know the status in joshi puro isn't very good right now, but besides the "golden periods" of Beauty Pair and Crush Gals, it was never a mainstream attraction to begin with. Joshi puro has always survived its bad times, and I hope it will again.
It's old news. JD Star fired all the wrestlers and changed their name to Grapple Beauty about a month ago. They just employ the Athtresses now and bring in freelancers. The Bloody and the other JD wrestlers are starting their own promotion called Team OK. Their first show is in September. The joshi business will never die because the idiots who own the companies are too stubborn to shut the doors but too many of them run the business like a hobby. They're killing the business but zombie feds will survive.

Takashi Matsunaga, AJW chairman, was on a talk show last week. From his story and interview, though he spoke for a TV show, he didn't sound like he, his brothers, and the whole Matsunaga family were doing it just like a hobby. I don't know about other compaies, though...
The article wasn't referring to AJW and neither were you. I wouldn't say that they're a zombie fed though they're not what they used to be mostly because of their own stupidity. They've lost a lot of talent and haven't replaced it. A zombie fed would describe JWP, Grapple Beauty, LLPW (Kandori really does run it like a hobby), M's Style is destined to be a zombie fed since Momoe left. I don't know yet about Live-A & Team OK but they don't look promising. Since they lost AKINO, Yoshida & Fujita, A To Z looks like a zombie fed too. Some of these feds don't have TV or video. Why are they in business? All the rosters are talent thin and it has affected the quality of the joshi business very badly.
