I recently started watching Joshi again after an 8 year layoff...and the promotional landscape is very different and I see the term freelance wrestler used quite a bit leading me to these questions...
If some of the girls are freelance going from promotion to promtion are the others under contract or just some type of verbal agreement?
When Ayako Hamada won the AAAW title last January was she a freelance wrestler? Would the promotion be less likely to put the title on a freelance wrestler not knowing if they would stick around?
Also while I am asking questions...does AJW still train wrestlers in some type of facility/dojo setting and if not where does the next generation get their training from?

The freelancers are working freelance. The others are under contract with their promotion.

Officially, yes. But she has been booked by GAEA many times.

Probably, yes. Depends on the situation, I guess.

There is still an AJW dojo, and I guess they still train wrestlers.
