Mine are :
1: Meiko Satomura vs. Aja Kong - GAEA (9/15/99)
2: Dynamite Kansai vs. Aja Kong - AJW "Queen's Holy Night" (8/30/95 - WWWA Title)
3: Jaguar Yakota VS Lioness Asuka.....dunno where it was from.
This electrified barbed wire match from FMW Mother-in-Law Toyoda vs. Kudo. It was Toyoda's retirement match. Toyoda did this Gorry Special driver that was so stiff, I was worked into believing Kudo was really paralyzed. Kudo was dope. She's fine and can take a barbed wire shot like a pro. That's the kind of woman I need...don't ask.
Megumi Kudo retired in 1997 at the age of 28. She probably could have wrestled longer if she went elsewhere than FMW.
That match is definetly outstanding, especially considering the type of matches explosive barbed wire usually end up as.
The spinning Kudo driver was definetly a cool way to end the match, but the powerbomb to set it up was even stiffer (Toyoda landed right on the back of her neck!)
If you want to see more of Kudo, you should consider buying the "FMW Official Video Megumi Kudo Intai Memorial Video Squall" tape. You should check it out, especially if you are a fan of her looks.
I also saw Kudo at the W*NGS Baseball Stadium show, I think she was fighting Toyoda, or some other dykey lookin girl and she was tag teamed with Bad Nurse, I think. Anyway, Toyoda was kicking Nurse in the face so hard, you could actually hear her teeth slapping against her cheeks. That was where I saw the pyramid driver, my all time favorite move.
So what's Super Leather doing these days? He's not still Cpl. Kirchner is he?
Late 91 AJW had some really good matches with Jungle Jack feuding with Bull Nakano, Akira blooming into the Dangerous Queen, Toyota and Kyoko coming into their own.
I really enjoyed:
-Akira Hokuto/Manami Toyota vs Kyoko Inoue/Toshiyo Yamada (WrestleMarinepiad)
-Bull Nakano/Akira Hokuto vs Jungle Jack (Tag League 1/2 Final -coming off that insane Cage Deathmatch at the Marinepiad)
The best joshi match(or at least my personal favorite) is...
....the eight women tag, kinda gimmick match main event from the JWP Thunder Queen Battle show. There were four AJWPW workers(Aja Kong,Kyoko Inoue,Takako Inoue, & Sakie Hasegawa) vs four JWP workers(Dynamite Kansai,Mayumi Ozaki,Hikari Fukuoka & Cuty Suzuki).
Its stipulation is kind of hard to describe...I think it was either the most pinfalls in the match in 60 minutes OR which team reached "X" amount of pinfalls first. If you ever see the match, you'll know what I mean.It starts out with just one members of each team on the ring apron and than eventually all four members from each team are on the ring apron.I don't want to give away which team wins, but I will let you know that it goes to 59:55 out of the 60 minute time limit. With almost everyone in this match a great worker, even when it "slows down",if you can call it that,it all makes sense and NEVER gets dull.
I've been looking for a copy of the entire show at a reasonable price(I have just the main event on a compilation tape),but I can't seem to find it anyware. HINT< HINT< IF you know where I can get a copy,(or any other quality copies of their commercial tapes)please respond.
I do have a copy of the "Arigato Mari-chan" Plum Mariko Memorial-career restospective. If you can get a copy of this,I strongly recommend you do if you like joshi,Mariko or JWP.
But in a side comment,JWP was so strong at one point.Alot of people were saying they were going to be the big Joshi Promotion when AJW had all the talent leave in'97.But shortly after this happened,Plum Mariko died,Cuty Suzuki retired,as well as Candy Okutsu(for the first time),Hiromi Yagi,a great worker, did also(before coming back as a freelancer...but not really working for JWP,mostly ARSION at first and than Big Japan) ,and than so did Hikari Fukuoka. On top of this,Devil Masami,Mayumi Ozaki and after some hesitation, so did Dynamite Kansai...all left for GAEA JAPAN...which has been experiencing some finacnial difficulties as well.
Its a shame, because JWP was putting out quality matches that were rivaling AJW and they REALLY did have the best cross-promotion work together. If the companies didn't really respect each other, you could tell the workers in the ring did.I do think JWP did make a HUGE mistake by not letting Ozaki get a chance as their top star and champion...she was definetly their best overall worker and possibly the most popular.Fukuoka did get the chance she deserved, but retired soon after. Now JWP is barley operating. How fast things can change.
I like the tag match from Dreamslam part 2 (4-11-93) the best-Manami Toyota and Toshiyo Yamada vs Dynamite Kansai and Mayumi Ozaki 2/3 falls. The 11-26-92 match might be technically better but this match had a lot more heart plus I liked the outcome better too.

Id say the oposite the 92 match had alot more heart and heat in it where as 93 was techincally more advanced if slightly sloppier. Id put both in my top 5 with the 92 match as my personal fav.
2: Dynamite Kansai vs. Aja Kong - AJW "Queen's Holy Night" (8/30/95 - WWWA Title)
Good call. Very unrated match thats easily the best shootish womens match iv ever seen and also possable the match with the most believable nearfalls (well if you count 10 counts as falls) iv ever seen. People talk about Hukuto's dreamslam 1 match alot but personally I preffered this match to that one.
