...ZERO-ONE MAX purchasing All Japan Women's Pro Wrestling? I did post this on another board and was concerned this might mean the use of Zenjyo workers in HUSTLE, and the response I've received seems to confirm this,...but there has been no official or public announcment regarding this.

Anyone here heard anything and what are your thoughts?

I have heard it, but the details aren't clear. one thing is for sure, AJW as we know it is no more, and I'm deeply saddened by that

I wouldn't get my hopes up for ZERO-ONE buying anything. They have enough problems paying their own bills without having to worry about paying the bills of a company that hasn't drawn consistently for 10 years. If Ohtani had money to throw around he would use it to book people like Shibata and Kawada, not buy other failing wrestling companies. It sounds more likely that DSE would buy the company and then pay them what their old contracts were for to work HUSTLE. I am of course, basing that on some logic and common sense, which don't always exist in the wrestling world.

No joke. That is a serious rumor going around at this point. Scary, isn't it?

Well one thing is official, Zenjyo is going to have its last show in April.

A very special company comes to an end. After 1997 when the company should have focused on being what they did best, be the most solid puroresu company in the world, the got involved in things thay should'nt have. The "Ramen House" restaurant chain that flopped and they purchased a great deal of real estate and then the market went bust and then they were 22 million dollars in debt. Talent started jumping ship becuase they weren't getting paid. Out of this we saw the birth of NEO and ARSION and GAEA pick up some talent. ARSION is gone and replaced with a very weak AtoZ and I've also heard that GAEA will be closing its doors soon as well.

Well, many of us, myself included, have been saying that the market is saturated and the industy needed this and its starting to happen.
