Okay yeah I thought so. She [Takako] has aged well compared to some other joshi wrestlers.

To me, one who's aged well is Toyota. I was never really enamoured with her back in the late 80's/early 90's when she was doing her best to be a twisty-bendy-Barbie-Doll. But man, the older she gets, the hotter she seems to be. She older than Takako, isn't she? 34?

To me she was. Back in the days of Arsion, she was great. Always happy to meet the fans. But I guess one grows tired of placating the masses that come to see you year after year. Now she seems (to me) to be so full of herself.

At the last M-Style show I went to (I think last June), she refused to sign any of the photobooks of hers that I brought with me unless I bought something else. Excuse me? Forking over >$100 for your photobooks isn't enough?? It seems not. I told her no thanks, and in disgust left the books on her table to sell to another sucker. She lost a fan that day. That she didn't even ATTEMPT to come after me to give the books back or to apologize says volumes.

I'll save my time and energy for those that actually appreciate the fans, and not their wallets. Plenty of "old-timers" still love talking to the fans and signing autographs and taking pictures: Toyota, Dump, Shimoda, Hokuto, TamaFuka, Hotta, Maekawa, the entire Oz Academy (Ozaki especially), etc. Hell, the younger ones would probably jump your bones to find out they have another fan or two.

Ohmukai has joined the ranks of Aja, Kyoko, Lioness, Chigusa, Hamada, and the rest of the "stars" who feel they no longer have to mingle with us peons.

(Hmmmm... Did that come across as too bitter?)
