    Inoki coming back to wrestle...

    Credit to SSS:

Inoki seemed interested to 'reactivate his Burning Toukon Spirit' at 10/13 Tokyo Dome. If negotiations go as planned, the special match will be a tag match where Inoki-Takayama faces Sakaguchi-Hogan. This could as well mean that the Tenzan v Takayama IWGP match be postponed. This isn't final and the names participating could as well change.

As interesting as this match can be, I'd rather see Tenzan v Takayama.

Good grief! Are ticket sales that bad that they need to do the 20th anniversary of HOgan-Inoki? Ok it will be off by 4 months but come on! Inoki is a desperate man!

This is getting embarrasing. NJ must be that desperate OR stupid one. Inoki's return again will be horrible as far as match quality is concerned, but thankful for him, another guy who should have hung it up for good long ago will make him look decent in comparison when Hogan signs on. I guess with horrendous turnouts for the last few Dome shows (30000 paid) they need Inoki to get some butts in the seats. Though the price for Hogan & Inoki will likely put any profits those extra attendance figures bring in for NJ at a minimum. Just when Inoki looked like he was gonna leave NJ alone for a while (G1, Tenzan's resurgence and good booking all around), he's back to wreck it again. Kobashi saved the 5/2 show, who'll do it this time around?

I agree with GH. This match although a huge seller, will suck. Not only that, but wasn't Tenzan gonna have his big break against Takayama? Geez! Just put CHono in the Tag to make it an even MORE bigger Dream match, and Leave Tenzan vs. Takayama for the gold.

    According to SSS:

IF this match pushes through, Tenzan v Takayama will have to be postponed for another month... Also, Chono said that Hogan is 90% probably appearing in NJ, although he didn't specify anything about Inoki-Hogan matches. Chono said Hogan is interested in singles matches and that Sakaguchi wants to be involved too. So Chono is negotiating for a tag match possibility.

    Chono - Hogan is possible.
Tenzan - Takayama is STILL possible (I think that in the end, NJ wouldn't want to throw this match up to smokes...)
Inoki's return - ummm... urrr... anything can still happen.

In my opinion, Hogan and Inoki should pack up their things and leave puro untouched because things are looking up for NJ with Tenzan v Takayama.

I agree that an Inoki-Hogan will be a huge seller. BTW, did Inoki get his redemption against Hogan for KOing him back when NJ was young? I think it was for the IWGP title...

Well SSS reports that Tenzan-Takayama will go ahead for 10/13, plus Barnett will defend his Pancrase title.

If I may ask how old is Inoki, I know Chono is 40 and Hogan is 50, how old is Inoki?

All that ego in one ring. Is it posiible to defy the laws of phyiscs and put two heads that big in one small area? Maybe that is why they want to book it in a dome rather than somewhere else!

Nice to hear that edgehead... Still, Inoki shouldn't come back... if there's a poll here on whether Inoki should or shouldn't comeback, it would be 100% NO.

Barnett defending his title at the same show? That's cool. So far, so good for NJ...

Hahaha!!! My statement was simply an exaggeration.

Well, wouldn't you be concerned if Inoki landed wrong and broke his spinal cord or something while fighting guys like Takayama?

    He's too old.

    SSS reports:

"Superman" Hulk Hogan returns to New Japan Pro-Wrestling next month, with Hogan vs. Chono NOW SIGNED AND OFFICIAL! This true dream match becomes the fourth officially announced for "ULTIMATE CRUSH II", and the third of the pro wrestling set. Who will win this meeting between two of the most charismatic wrestlers in history?

According to several reports out of Japan, Hogan has signed a three show contract, thought to be for 10/13 Tokyo Dome, 11/3 Yokohama Arena, and 1/4/04 Tokyo Dome shows.

Well, the tag option is out of the way, how about a comedy match, Inoki vs. Sakaguchi...
