New Japan announced on the 19th the match between Masahiro Chono and Hulk Hogan.

I know, the news has been already posted, but I just wanted to start a separate thread for this card. Please post about this card (including results) here.
Yes, that's true, but as I am writing this, HCW Comissioner and close personal friend of Hulk Hogan, Bill Apter, is working towards having Masahiro Chono put up the Kamehameha Heritage Hawaii Heavyweight Championship on the line!
I'll keep you all updated!

My guess is that it's not a big enough main event for a Dome show (to draw a large crowd)
Tenzan & Takayama fought twice recently as Tenzan defeated Takayama in the G1 semi-final and Takayama's first defence was against Tenzan after wionning the IWGP against Nagata.
That's why they should have given the title to CHONO in the Cage match! And have someone else fight Hogan!

I'll drink to that

u got a point on the 'Tenzan vs Takayama wont draw'-front.
But give the belt to Chono and let someone else face Hogan? there's no one in New Japan with as big a name as Chono. No one else could face Hogan. And I don't really think it's credible to have Chono put Takayama over, no matter how much everyone on this forum seems to hate him.
Inoki is getting involved with this card. It may seem that the 10/13 Tokyo Dome show will probably showcase a New Japan vs Inoki Army 5 vs. 5 singles series.
Inoki Army:
Takayama
Fujita
Suzuki
2 others not mentioned.
NJ army:
Tenzan
Nakanishi
Nagata
2 others not mentioned.
The Takayama v Tenzan match could be moved all the way to 11/3.
The stupid thing is that they could still hold their stupid 5 on 5 war as singles matches like in the previous Dome shows and still have Takayama vs. Tenzan!
I would like to see Tysuyoshi Kosaka & Bob Sapp as the other two for Inoki's new army (or have Hogan as the last member). It would be nice to see a rematch of Sapp/Nakanishi with an actual finish this time.
Also, why does Chono always have to job to outsiders? Can't someone else have that assignment? He drew with Misawa, lost to Kobashi, and will (99.9% chance) lose to Hogan as well.

IDIOTS!
Well, I think sales aren't as good as they hoped it would be. So, they moved the IWGP title match.

#1: Takemura wins JR rumble with help from his rudo pals
#2: Blue Wolf finally gets by the super hot Yoshie to set up a string of inter-generational matches in the near future
#3: TOA manhandles glorified jobber Makabe to set up his eventual fall to Nakanishi
#4: Shibata continues to climb with big win over Inoue with wrestling moves
#5: Yasuda wins, Inoki's booking and he's dropped last two to MUGA
#6: Shibuya and let's hope this dude doesn't break his arm in the opening minute again
#7: Barnett is a badace and whoops ol Takahashi in what should be a decent fight
#8: This one's tough. I'd actually like to see Murakami pull this out and have Shibata finally claim the bounty, but Tanahashi wouldn't be getting this near main event slot if he wasn't going over, so the U30 champ wins here I suppose
#9: Hogan over NJ's Chono in a borefest, Chono always jobs for the betterment of the co. and this is likely no exception. Gotta respect and admire his dedication, loyalty and true professional attitude, although he's probably banking on this match either way so I can't feel too sorry for him taking the fall
#10: Inoki army in victory to set up new feud, get young trueborns over, and take Takayama's IWGP Title off while still having him play a huge role. Nakamura could get heavy push here, Tenzan be first hero, and Nakanishi and Nagata get back on track defending their home while not having to be champions
