Fujinami sacked!!!

according to SSS:

Fujinami is gone, due to NJPW's dismal fiscal performance last year.

He will likely be replace on the 26th by one of three men, Hisashi Shinma, Fumuhiko Uei or Kantaro Hoshino.

Fujinami was a great wrestler but might not be a good man to lead the way.

Kengo Kimura, Fujinami's former tag partner is also a possible candidate.

When Fujinami became the president, I knew Inoki would be interrupting every decision the board makes. Kengo wouldn't be much different, IMO. More influence Sakaguchi perhaps?

Actually, Inoki mentioned those names only for possiblity. There is also a big rumor that Inoki would return as the president (I don't read English puroresu news sites, so excuse me if this is mentioned in another sites). In fact, K-1 producer Sadaharu Tanigawa asked Inoki not to be "limited as a company president because he is someone beyond such position."

Personally, I'm interested to see Shinma as the president, but he had already burned enough bridges in the past...

Tanigawa said that he wants Inoki to remain free so he could still work with K-1.

SSS reports that Masakazu Kusama is the new president

Sakaguchi will remain as CEO but will not be in the board (not sure what that means). Fujinami will be the "executive vice chairman of the board".

Whatever the positions they are in, with Kusama as the prez and Kawamura and Simon are in the executive board, it seems to be a complete Inoki group.

He did, but he doesn't really participate in tours. I don't like the idea of having a champ not tour...
