From SSS: Jushin Thunder Liger has turned to the dark side at last! There were two mysterious events yesterday and today that raised suspicions. Firstly, Liger took Jado, Gedo, and Takemura to Osaka Pro with him, rather than his trusted companions, Kanemoto, El Samurai, and Wataru. Secondly, at the signing ceremony for his GHC Jr. Heavyweight Title defense at NOAH's Tokyo Dome show, held today, Jado & Gedo were seen accompanying him. It was a rematch from 2/1 today, as the former "Unbeatables" Liger & Kanemoto met IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, Jado & Gedo, in a non-title match. The match had an uncontrolled feel from the start, with Takemura (a busy man in the last couple of days, with wins in both Osaka Pro and All Japan) intruding. Around the five minute mark, Liger suddenly started arguing with Kanemoto, and decked him with a shotei! Liger helped Jado & Gedo give Koji a powerbomb from the top rope, before Gedo dropped a Superfly splash on Kanemoto for the win! Jushin Thunder Liger is seemingly a "heel" for the first time ever in New Japan, aligned with Jado, Gedo, and Takemura! Samurai and Wataru rushed to the ring post-match, attacking Liger, leading to a confused brawl. Liger left, and Kanemoto called him back, but to no response. What does this mean for the junior division? Kanemoto & Wataru challenge Jado & Gedo for the IWGP Jr. Tag Team Title in Sapporo, and Liger may make his presence felt there. Backstage, a dazed Kanemoto simply said that Liger is now his enemy, and a new war is brewing in the junior division! Liger roared that his new team would become the "regular army", waking the lukewarm junior division up, and invited Heat to join. He said anyone who has forgotten "anger" and is happy being "good friends" needs to leave New Japan immediately.
What's next for the Jrs? Liger has never been a bad guy before. Kanemoto swore revenge (next GHC Jr. Champ?) and this opens up the door for a whole new set of rules in NJ's junior division.
"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist." - Kevin Spacey (Usual Suspects)
Don't forget that he teamed with Jado, Gedo & Takemura to take out Osaka Pro's Kishiwada Gurentai a couple of days ago.
