Tenzan=G1 Climax... G1 Climax Gets Bigger?

Hiroyoshi Tenzan visited the head office of Daily Sports in Kobe yesterday, and made a very bold declaration. Firstly he said, "My target is complete victory. I want to establish the image of "Tenzan = G1 Climax". Although he came from behind last year and found his acquired strength from Calgary, after a slow start, Tenzan plans to just mow down the opposition this year and win every match. Tenzan called Nakanishi on the 8/9 Kobe show a main gateway, and said if he loses, he will jump off Kobe harbor and into the sea. Only Tenzan's teacher, Masahiro Chono, has ever won successive G1 Climax championships in 1991 and 1992, but Tenzan wants to make his name the second on that list. He vowed to win the G1, then capture the IWGP Heavyweight Title from Fujita and begin his third reign as champion. During a trip to Sponichi's head offices in Osaka (looks like Tenzan is making the rounds), he swore to accomplish successive victories with his hidden finisher, the Anaconda Spice. Tenzan said it's a reverse version of the Anaconda Vice, and that there is no escape from it.

    G1 Climax 2004 Gets Bigger...
The 2004 G1 Climax just got even bigger! New Japan today announced "CLIMAX +1", a FOURTH show at it's holy palace, Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan (Sumo Hall)! It won't be a regular G1 convention, but rather a discounted event with 5~6 non-G1 matches. It will start at 2pm on 8/14, and shortly after it finishes, the first of the G1 tournament shows at Sumo Hall will begin (6pm). Ticket prices for "CLIMAX +1" are low, less than bleacher seat prices for the regular G1 shows. General seating will be ¥3,000 (US$27), and ¥1,000 (US$9) for school children and seniors. Unlike normal shows, the ticket buyer will be able to choose his or her own seat, with no allocation.

Tanahashi all the way, after that he gets his shot at Fujita, carries a close match but fujita comes out on top, then look for nakamura to win it from him. OR... tenzan wins and goes a super champ beating everyone in his way and holds the title for a while and then one of the new three muskateers wins it. I would say though that tanahashi has to be the winner.

    Lol

Now see the moment I say that Tanahashi is going to win the G-1, some on the board said I was wrong. Now a few others have said it and I am right all of a suden (LOL, J/K).

I'm kidding, I've always stuck to my guns about Tanahashi and if it is not him it will be Shinsuke Nakamura.

    Tanahashi timeline...

    Tanahashi wins G1
tanahashi draws or is tastefully defeated by keiji mutoh
tanahashi gets title shot and loses in a constructive manor
tanahashi starts a solid fued with either shibata or a solid vet
tanahashi faces nakamura after nakamura wins title again and tanahashi takes the gold

others might think that shinsuke might win it but i think that he is going to stay in the shadows for a little bit right now, then come out of nowhere again and win the title. Tanahashi is the mutoh of this new three muskateers and by that i mean most popular and the best.

I believe Yuji Nagata will pull it off.

this isnt any real news but for something funny really, on puroresufan.com there is an article kind of or headline about the g1. It shows two pictures, one of nakamura and tanahashi together and one of kanemoto with a lot of women. Look at the woman on the right of the picture in a white shirt with a camera around her neck. Then look at her right hand. It looks like she is flipping off the camera and then when i looked closer that extra finger that makes the peace sign is very camoflauged.
