When did Minoru "don't call me Heat" Tanaka wrestle for the WWE? I am on the jpuroresu website and there is a pic of Tanaka wrestling some guy in the WWE.

Well maybe someone that speaks Japanese that reads the board can read some of that, for to be honest, I looked around and couldn't find anything on it.
IIRC it was a dark match, and they were scouting him as a potential jobber for TAKA. Vince didn't want him because he was too small (for the light heavyweights, mind you, while TAKA isn't too small), too stiff and didn't have TAKA's in ring charisma.

I have lot all my respect for my namesake...there I would like to be known as WilliamsFan from now on...I feel disgraced with the name of Edge on me...
The ref is raising Tanaka's hand on the picture...
Not clear enough to me to read everything, but the match took place as a dark match for RAW on July 28, '98 at San Diego Sports Arena. He defeated "Fallen Angel" with a German suplex hold. Not sure if it's Daniels from the picture.
The article also says that Tanaka was at the Aneheim card on previous day but couldn't find his name on the match list.

Either way the WWE dropped the ball on Tanaka. I just don't see him as a jobber to anybody. Especially the way they pushed Taka after he lost to Sasuke twice.
