So everyone's saying that Tenzan had 3 fantastic matches in December. His loss to Kawada, his tie to Kojima and win against Sasaki. I sure hope NJ doesn't screw him again and have him drop the title in 2 weeks! Or 1 month. Please let it be another few months.

Tanahashi & Nakamura's title win is good for them as well. It's pretty clear from fan reaction from this match that fans love their effort. They might not be super stars like Chono yet, but matches like this sure help. It sounds like Tanahashi will face Nakamura for the U30 title at 01/04. This might even main event the dome. I'd expect Nakamura to defeat Tahanashi, and Tanahashi to move on to better things: He'll feud with Tenzan for the IWGP. Have Tanahashi lose in a 30 minutes battle, regain momentum by having multiple wins defending the IWGP TAG for a few months, and have him win the G1. Expect Tanahashi to be champ by the end of the year.

Heat seems to be in better shape than when he took on the mask He should defeat James Gibson next, followed by Tiger Mask IV. Expect Heat to job to Tenzan as well for an IWGP title match.

These sound like 2 shows to buy!

I like this scenario. I really believe it would do so much for New Japan, it would kill 2 birds with one stone. Let Tenzan have a killer 05 (IMO he should/will be WOTY) and have feuds with Chono, Tanahashi, and maybe Hashimoto before dropping the title to Tanahashi in late 05. If anyone deserves a good run with the IWGP more than Tenzan I've never seen them. I think he has been Mr. IWGP for the past 3 years, and has earned it. He should be the bridge to the new musketeers who will be ready for the big time in 06.

I would like to get some opinions on which has been Tenzan's best match in December? Kawada, Kojima, or Sasaki? Like I said here earlier, I gotta bet riding that Kawada/Tenzan will be in teh running for MOTY and Tenzan would pull out WOTY 05..

    Peace

I am really glad for tenzan and i really think that he deserves to carry the title for a while. My favorite situation would be this, tanahashi fights tenzan in the early summer for the title and loses a close one, then tenzan and tanahashi meeting in the G1 final, where Tanahashi pulls out a close win on tenzan and then faces tenzan for the title late in the year and wins it and defends it against shibata or nakamura in the dome in '06'

Here's to Tenzen! He deserves it. If he can get past this Dogfight then he'll have a killer 2005. And, Captain Charisma, Mr. IWGP is Yuji Nagata.

Nagata really should head for NOAH. There isn't any room for him in NJ. He's a great wrestler, but with Chono, Tenryu, Choshu, Nakamura, Takayama, Tanahashi, Tenzan, Shibata, Norton, Nakanish, Nishimura in the heavyweight division, he can't be pushed as much as he was in the past.

In NOAH he'd be a fantastic heel. The killer Nagata would work well, teaming up with Akiyama against Kobashi.

Yeah, but in that case he'd be awesome, so he'd get cheered anyway(at least by us geeks on the net). If he's going to be a real heel he'd have to do something bad to the real Great Muta. In no other way could I find it in my heart to blame him and not encourage him in his evil way.

I agree. Tenzan deserves a good run, and I do mean a GOOD run with the IWGP title and it should not end the way it did. I agree with the idea of him dropping the belt to Tanahashi in 05, only if Tanahashi drops the U-30 to Nakamura and let him run with that.

Heat will face Tiger Mask 4 and I think TM4 will be the one that ends the "Heat Administration".
