Kakihara Or Tanaka! that is the question?

Just been talking to mah dude in Japan, and we both decided a few weeks ago that Kakihara and Tanaka are the best two Super J's in New Japan. Thats our opinion anyways. But one thing is that he feeels Kakihara is the best, while i am more pro Tanaka in this argument.
Lets see what all you guys think!
Who is the best between these two greats?
And, who is your all round fave Junior in New Japan?

Also gimme a hell yeah if Tanahashi Rocks! cause this guy in my eyes is gonna be one FN dude in a few years!

    Syanara Friendz!

Personally, as much as I love Kakihara, I'd have to go with Tanaka. I couldn't really say why, I just like him a bit more. However, the Kaki Cutter is the better finishing move of the two wrestlers, IMO, it's just so forceful!

As for my favourite New Japan junior, it'd have to be Liger, simply because of how great he has been over the years. He's always been fantastic, and hopefully will continue to be for years to come. Other than Liger, I'm also a big El Samurai, Tanaka, Kakihara and Gedo fan, and being such a lucharesu mark (grrr, I hate that word, 'mark' ), I love it whenever any of the M-Pro guys have worked shows there.

And yeah, Tanahashi rocks! Anyone who's seen the ending to the tag match from 01/04/02 (the sequence between Murakami and Tanahashi) will know exactly what I mean when I'm saying he's getting way over now too!

By the way, Ricky, judging from your profile I'm guessing you're Ricky as in Hiroshi Tenko?

I'll go with Tanaka... too early to give the title to Kakihara. Having too many people as former singles champs devalues the title much and makes the tag team title less exciting. Now if only they would get the tag belts off those jackasses Do's...

Man, I so agree with you - on the IWGP Jr title, that is. To be honest, Im surprised that it has come down to just Tanaka and Kakihara. I would have thought that after two so-so champions (Naruse was a mistake and too early for him, and I never really bought Ka Shin), the title should go to someone you know is quality. Obviously, I would have thought Liger would have got it again, as he is performing so well right now, or even an hold hand like El Samurai, who you know won't let you down as a champion.

But I agree with your point about too many people having single IWGP jr title reigns - it will start to look like a WWF title soon. So yeah, out of the two, I'd go with Tanaka. I didn't think he deserved to lose the title in the first place. Tanaka would be a good champion, and maybe a great champion, if they can get some quality opponents for him.

It's a shame about TMIV, because I would have loved to see a TMIV-Liger program at one stage, with Liger building him up and putting him over. Keiichi Yamada is so good at things like that.

I never seen any Kakihari matches but Minoru Tanaka rocks! His kicks and submissions are the nr ones in the biz.

Thanx for the posts on my topic.
    Yes i am Tenko! Baby...............................heheheheheheheh e!

Also i believe that Tanaka would be best suited at this time. But the only way is if he has a long reign and somewhere later in the year only jobs to one man if need be. Lyger! don't know but if we have Tanaka as a champion for a good half year, i think he would have established himself and stop it from being a WWF title.

    Anyway cheers again!

No no NO Goy..... it's going to be Kakihara! You know I like Tanaka, but he's held that title for a good long while and Kakihara has had a huge run up to this match. I just imagine him to slap on his Kaki-Cutter and then a jujigatame (cross armbraker) for the victory

Like how I'm gonna slap on a Wilkin Hold Omega at EVOLUTION START: Stage-02

Well I would be surprised if Kakihara got the title. He hasn't been with the company long, and from what I can tell, giving him the title would be a bit of a risky choice. As I said earlier, the last thing the IWGP Jr title needs is another dodgy champion. Out of two, it has to be Tanaka. There is no other way.
