Well Block A is done, Minoru took the 1st place and Kanemoto second.

Block B isn't finished yet, but it looks like Tiger Mask IV and Gedo move on, unless Black Tiger can wrestle and defeat Liger... In that case, Tiger Mask and Inoue would move on.

    BLOCK A
    1- Minoru 8 (4-2)
2- Koji Kanemoto 8 (4-2, loss to Minoru)

    3- Hirooki Goto 6 (3-3)
4- El Samurai 6 (3-3, loss to Goto)
5- Masahito Kakihara 6 (3-3, losses to Goto & Samurai)
    6- Stampede Kid 4 (2-4)
    7- Jado 4 (2-4, loss to Kid)

    BLOCK B
1- Tiger Mask IV 8 (4-1, faces Gedo for #1 spot)
    1- Gedo 8 (4-1, loss to Inoue)
3- Jushin Thunder Liger 6 (3-2, faces Black Tiger IV who is injured, loss to Gedo)
4- Wataru Inoue 6 (3-2, loss to Liger, faces Takemura)
    5- Black Tiger IV 4 (2-3)
    6- Katsushi Takemura 2 (1-3)
7- Akiya Anzawa 2 (1-4, loss to Takemura)

Why is Gedo getting such a big push? Liger could have easily filled his spot instead. He was ousted out of last year's finals due to injury. TM has beaten Koji & Minoru. I think Liger could have been a better choice than the Superfly Man.

How long has Gedo been wrestling now? 15 years? Don't you think he'd deserve a big push? Liger is on his way out, what do you expect? He's not gonna get the IWGP title back, why should he win the Super Juniors?

Blasphemy!! Liger has at least six more years left in him. I'm only getting on Gedo because he is a tag team specialist and I felt Jado was the bigger half (heck- he ended up snatching the title for a few months). Not all that much against Gedo but Liger is better and more respected. I'm a traditionalist.

I agree with you all though I wouldn't go as far as blasphemy. I have to admit Liger is not as good as he used to be in the 90's. He has changed his style since then. Though I still enjoy watching him. I am also suprised as Gedo's big push.

In my opinion, the only reason Gedo got this push is because of Black Tiger's injury. I'm sure he was going to go all the way to the final, but once he was injured, Gedo already had 6 points and got 2 more by default...

Yea, I forgot about his injury. They wanted the BT v. TM feud to go a little longer.

I was really hoping Wataru would have won it all. But i'm guessing for 2006 the mega pushes will go to Hirooki Goto and a soon to be returning Rysuke Taguchi

BTW: Taguchi is my pick to win the 2006 BOSJ

You may even be right with Inoue & Goto... those two are (especially Goto) are dynamite in the ring.

From what I understand Inoue was injured during the tourney and had to lose his last 2 matches by default to Anzawa & Takemura...
