2005 New Japan Pro Wrestling G-1 Climax

Here are the 2005 G1 Climax participants

    Block A

    - Hiroyoshi Tenzan (11th Consecutive Participation; 2003, 2004 Winner)
    - Masahiro Chono (15th Consecutive Participation; 1991, 1992, 1994, 2002 Winner),
    - Tatsumi Fujinami (8th Participation; 1993 Winner)
    - Yuji Nagata (7th Consecutive Participation; 2002 Winner)
    - Minoru Suzuki (2nd Consecutive Participation)
    - Josh Barnett (Debut)
    - Kendo Ka Shin (Debut)
    - Osamu Nishimura (Debut)

    Block B

    - Hiroshi Tanahashi (4th Consecutive Participation)
    - Manabu Nakanishi (9th Consecutive Participation; 1999 Winner)
    - Shinsuke Nakamura (3rd Consecutive Participation)
    - Togi Makabe (2nd Consecutive Participation)
    - Yutaka Yoshie (5th Participation)
    - Toru Yano (Debut)
    - Blue Wolf (2nd Consecutive Participation)
    - X

I pick Tanahashi to win it all, simply put it is his time to dominate and take his game up another level. But if the BOSJ is any indication, Tenzan might win it again.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say X is (fingers crossed) Shinya Hashimoto

Interesting lineup, but it isn't Nishimura's G-1 debut...

I have to agree with Pheonix's pick to win...I think X will be someone else, given the recent disappointments with the X

As far as I know, "X" has always been a disappointment in New Japan.

Hurts me to say it, but Hisa, you're right. I'm going with Nakamura to win it though

Hisa's right. Can't they just label it "Big expensive disappointment"?

And I'm picking Chono, for the hell of it.

X might just be Sasaki or someone like that...

As for the final, I see Tenzan losing to Tanahashi

This X might be worth it, especially if it is Hashimoto or just someone fans would never expect. If X is not Hashimoto, it could be...Rysuke Taguchi.

Why Taguchi? Look at how well Kanemoto did in the G-1 last year and this would be a convincing X

Block B looks pretty weak to me. I think Tanahashi will go over Nagata in the finals.

    Well,
Dick Togo will be facing Tiger Mask IV at the G-1 Climax, and Masahiro Chono has become backer of All Japan's RO&D faction

Just a suggestion. But this is New Japan, they took back Kensuke Sasaki, it wouldn't surprise me if Kenzo does return to NJ.

I was hoping X would have been Hashimoto. But we all know what happened.

Just an update if no one heard but X is officially Kazayuki Fujita, Blue Wolf has been replaced by Tasutoshi Goto and Josh Barnett is Upset because he felt he was healthy enough to be in the G-1 and has challenged all of the G-1 participants to a match.

That and Toshiaki Kawada will be in the G-1.
