Some opinions of his puro work please? I personally found it far superior to his work in the States and elsewhere.

I do too. Some of the matches that I really enjoyed with Andre were the matches he had with Tatsumi Fujinami. They were some of the best big man/small man matches I have seen. Of course you can't mention Andre's best matches without talking about his match with Stan Hansen. Which is the best match I have ever seen with Andre! It was one of my favorite matches from the 80's!
