Choshu returns to New Japan office???

I just got a daily newsletter from Japan saying that Riki Choshu is returning to New Japan as a chief booker (which is currently Masahiro Chono's role). NJ president Simon Inoki has been working on bringing him back since late September. Choshu will be touring with New Japan guys starting on the 23rd in Nagasaki. Tatsumi Fujinami says that he would welcome Choshu back, but others such as Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Yutaka Yoshie question what gives the booking right to someone who left the company because of his dislike of it. Shinsuke Nakamura says that although he belives today's New Japan needs a strong leader but can't comment much since he doesn't know Choshu well.

If he can get the belt off of Fujita without a repeat of the Pro Wrestlers Be Strongest incident, he has my full support until he screws things up.

In a sense, i'm also watching this "carefully" like Tatsumi Fujinami has said. I'd like to see how Choshu's vision of New Japan is going to play out eventually. As it has shown, or he has shown, he is not going to take any guff. He has "fired" his second in command Junji Hiratta for being a Chono sympathizer and has shaken up New Japan as a whole.

As far as getting the belt off of Fujita, we all know how that stage ended. I think "Power Hall" is out to revive New Japan's moniker (motto?) of "King of Sports" and he may just do that. I'm anxious to see how he works with IWGP Champion Brock Lesnar and how that relationship will work out seeing as a Choshu guy (ie: Sasaki) isn't the champ.
