At the Tokyo Dome a new International Wrestling Grand Prix Heavyweight Champion was crowned, and his name is Brock Lesnar! What does this mean for the future of New Japan? Have they merely traded one high priced pain in the *** freelancer who won't do jobs for another one? Where does Chosyu fit into all of this? All of these are very interesting questions which should be answered in the weeks and months to come.
What was New Japan thinking? "We know that the whole Goldberg/All Japan deal didn't really work out, but THIS TIME FOR SURE!"
Proud enough for you to call me arrogant
Greedy enough to be labeled a thief
Angry enough for me to go and hurt a man
Cruel enough for me to feel no grief...
I saw the match...and all I can say is that it's nothing special...It's rather short, and after the match, both Fujita-san and Chono looked ****ed as hell. I don't blame them. I'll try to post up the match for you guys later.
Man thats crazy. I never thought he would one day be IWGP champ.
“Happy peanuts soar over chocolate covered mountaintops and waterfalls of caramel. Prancing nougat in the meadow sings a song of satisfaction to the world.”
Just watched this-its really a horrendously bad main event. Nothing more than Lesnar bullying two of New Japan's top guys around (I count Fujita as a 'top guy' as he went in as champ) before beating them without breaking much of a sweat.
I was always a New Japan mark above All Japan or Noah, but I find more and more I'm enjoying Noah's cards more than New Japan cards, and when you take into account I never 'got' the All Japan/Noah style that says a lot!
