I read over at Strong Style Spirit that Hiroshi Nagao has left New Japan and Akiya Anzawa has retired to become a Chef.

Man, New Japan lost a promising heavyweight, and a junior who was starting to find his niche. Good luck to both of them.

On 2006/01/25, the following wrestlers decided to leave New Japan:
Osamu Nishimura
Masayuki Naruse
Katsushi Takemura
Ryushi Yanagisawa

Status of Masahiro Chono is unknown.

Hiroyoshi Tenzan hasn't signed, but most likely he'll stay.

So far, total of 9 wrestlers left New Japan.

If you don't count the ones who still have the "pending" status, the current roster of only 15 is smaller than NOAH, Dragon Gate, and ZERO1-Max.

As you probably know by now, the senior ring announcer Hidekazu "Kero" Tanaka also left the company as well as another ring announcer.
