question regarding Hashimoto vs. Fujinami match

I just picked up a DVD version of the "Do Judge" commercial tape from New Japan. The first match on the show is between Shin'ya Hashimoto and Tatsumi Fujinami. During the match the two start throwing what look like nasty close-fist punches unti Fujinami goes down. Hashimoto tries to pick him up for a suplex but Fujinami is like dead weight, so Hashimoto DDT's him and covers him for a quick pin. A close-up of Fujinami shows that he's bleeding from the mouth.

The match apparently happened October 9, 2000. Was this a match that got out of hand? Was Fujinami really injured? What happened?

It was stiff, but I don't think it "got out of hand". They were shaking hands after the match.

It was the match where Hashimoto returned from the "retirement" after losing to Naoya Ogawa. Also, it was the first match of the card. Hashimoto had already announced he would start a new project within New Japan called "ZERO", which eventually became an independent company "ZERO-ONE".

With Kotetsu Yamamoto as the referee, basically the match consisted of the guys who didn't have "place to be" in New Japan.
