Liger's attires

everyone recognizes Jushin Ligers normal full body red attire. I was just wondering if there were reasons behind times he wore the different outfits the all black, the all white, the red w/o shirt and hornless mask, the black w/o shirt and hornless mask, i saw a green & gold outfit once. wasnt there a half red, half blue one? There I know was the time he wrestled mutoh and mutoh removed liger's mask to reveal liger in the muta face paint, but I have also seen times when liger appears w/o mask and in only face paint. I was just curious to see if there were special reasons behind some of the attire changes

I think the one without the mask he used in MMA. Maybe the all black one he used when he turned heel?

The hornless mask with no shirt was (I beileve) when he tried his hand in the heavyweight ranks. Maybe during the G1 Climax tournament of 01.

Liger debuted the "heavyweight" outfit (the shirtless outfit with the hornless mask) in February 1994 when he wrestled Shinya Hashimoto. And he has been using that outfit on several occasions since then (mostly for special occasions, which were usually matches where he fought heavyweights). For example, the 2001 G1-Climax. I guess the reason for the shirtless outfit is that it makes him look bigger (which is why he is wearing it when he is wrestling heavyweights).

He also worked with outfits that were similar to his regular outfits, but had different colours. Some examples:
-the green and gold outfit against Akira Nogami in March 1991
-the white outfit against El Samurai in May 1992 and teaming with Brian Pillman against Chris Benoit and Biff Wellington at WCW Clash of The Champions in June 1992
-the blue and white outfit against Ultimo Dragon in January 1993
-the blue and red outfit against Koji Kanemoto in January 1996
-the black outfit against Great Sasuke in April 1996
And there are several more examples. But I think there is no real special reason for him wearing these attires.

But he did actually wear the "Black Liger" outfit regularly for quite some time (I believe in the early 2000s). I think this was not really a full fledged heel turn, but more something like an "attitude change" where he would wrestle more aggressive and somewhat like a heel at times.
