I've always thought that the All-Asia tag team titles added something nice to All Japan because they gave oppourtunity to the younger wrestlers and it was pleasing to see such respected titles, with such a legacy, in use. I don't normally like multiple titlles, and to begin with I was pleased when NOAH did what New Japan did (one belt in each division), but now, one sees that NOAH has such a large roster, with so mant talented guys doing nothing and so many meaningless tags.
Should NOAH introduce some mid-card tag belts to bring some meaning into these matches and give the mid-card teams something to fight over?
Perhaps NOAH are trialling the idea with the IWGP junior heavyweight tag team titles, to see how they get over.
If they don't do mid-card tag belts, they should do GHC junior heavyweight tag belrs, as they have many good teams (Marufuji and Sano, Kannemaru and Hashi, Kikuchi and KENTA).
Mr Idol, agreeing with you on two topics is always a worryiong thing for me, but junior belts would be a better than mid card tag belts. NOAH doesn't exactly have a great mid card division. Plus the main tag belts could do with a bit of spit and shine right now.
I'd expect that there will be a few all-NOAH IWGP junior tag team title bouts, as Misawa tests how the fans like them, and if they get over, he'll introduce his own.
