NOAH Annual tournaments

Now that NOAH has been around for a few years why has
Misawa not started a annual singles or tag tournament comp to
G-1 climax/Champions Carnival or RWTL? Now that NOAH has established itself, I thing a annual tournament is over due.

And what would they call it?

All-Japan had the Champion's Carnival, of course. But the World's Strongest Tag Team League was first called the World's Open Tag League in 1977.

New Japan had many names:
1974-1977 World League
1978-1982 MSG (Madison Square Garden) League
1983-1987 IWGP League
1989 World Championship
1991-today G-1 Climax

1980-1984 MSG Tag League
1985 IWGP Tag League
1986-1987 Japan Cup Tag League
1991-1998 Super Grade Tag League
1999-2001? G-1 Climax Tag League

SWS had only one tournament in 1991, and it was to crown new tag champions.

I disagree. This sends the message to me that Misawa does not want to follow the jones of the Japanese wrestling world. NOAH is the only major office that does not have any regular tournies. As mention aboved, AJPW,and NJPW have theirs, it seems like Zero-1 has a tourney ever tour, alll the trash organizations have them, and all the luche promotioms have them.

So it means they are different that is all.

In February NOAH will have a 2-day tag team tournament entitled "Differ Cup Scramble Tag Team Tournament" the shows will take place on February 8th and 9th. Both shows will be held at the Tokyo Differ Ariake.

I feel that NOAH shouldn't run annual tournaments. There are too many at present any way and each one merely dillutes the value of the others... Were they to use a tournament that was unique in structure or execution then maybe, but it would have to be something to make it stand out from the rest, or no one would care that much. Could be wrong, but 'tis my humble opinion...
