Sounds like a great show from top to bottom. It's nice to see Misawa stand up to his critics and put together a really well-booked NOAH show. Kobashi\Misawa is no doubt match of the year quality, and definately a better title change than Hashimoto\Muta last week. Hopefully this show is a wake up call to Choshu and his lackluster WJ Pro card.

I agree with Fiasco, Kobashi vs. Misawa was a great match, but the remainder of the card was top quality as well.

Man, I can't wait for this to come out on tape. It'll be the first thing on my "to buy" list until I get it.

Hey don't y'all remember his huge WWF push as Flash Funk?

Anyways, Scorpio is now top gajin in NOAH... so he'll be pushed and job to the stars...

As for Kobashi, 2 thumbs up Sounds like a LONG reign

It sure will be a long reign as long as he gets injured after every match.

He'll have a yearlong reign then lose to a gaijin after a long feud.

If I was Misawa that's what I would would do.

I found out about NOAH through sheer desperation.I could no longer stomach the WWE and beyond the Holy Rollers,Maryland Championship Wrestling just isn't entertaining me anymore. While doing a search I came across a sight called Highspots, the way they advertised this card, specifically the main event, you would think it was the greatest show ever.......men passing out, women crying tears of joy at the end, that sorta thing. When it finally arrived in the mail,I was not disappointed,I had seen Misawa's name here and there through the years but never knew much about him, after this show he has become a new fav of mine and would love to see this guy wrestle Dean Melenko. The main event reminded me alot of the old NWA matches.I have to say the first match of the card with the old-timers was a hell of alot better than what you will see in the WWE,McMahon should put the strap on Kimura,he can do alot more than punch and a high knee.Perhaps the only disappointment was with superstar Steve, with a name like that you think he would have been a bit more garish...he needs a feather boa or a Ric Flair style robe.

NOAH is indeed terrific, and recent shows have been top notch. If you have gotten the bug for Misawa & company you have to get some of their classic All Japan stuff from the 90s. Misawa, Kobashi, Kawada, Akiyama, Vader, Tsuruta, Hansen, Taue, etc. put together the best 10 year run from any promotion ever. The 3/1 show was typical of the 5 star matches that group achieved during the 90s. I highly recommend it. Highspots has plenty as well as just about every puro tape traer/dealer you'll find. Check out the tape trading section for recommendations, etc.
