Kobashi made his 2nd GHC title defense by defeating NJ's Masahiro Chono at the 5/2 NJ Tokyo Dome show "Ultimate Crush" in the co-main event. The GHC Champ won in (28:27) with his signature lariat. From reports, Kobashi apparently recieved a huge ovation and was heavily cheered by the NJ crowd, which is unusual for a wrestler from an outside promotion venturing into another's ring. Kobashi is the man.

Pretty odd finish, anytime two big names from different promotions go at it,you'll get a 60 minute draw or a double DQ.Shows a touch of class on Chono's part to lose on his own promotions card.

There's also a lack of ego for that matter also...
I have lot all my respect for my namesake...there I would like to be known as WilliamsFan from now on...I feel disgraced with the name of Edge on me...
but the match was pretty...bad. The multiple-continuous half-nelson suplexes were VERY overkill (to the level of Mutoh overkilling Shining Wizard against Kawada) and really, i didn't even feel the tension and the need to pull out that move at the time.
It's like there were a lot of slow submission work, and then Kobashi suddenly felt like he needs to bust out a lot of half-nelsons to spice things up, which pulled out a few "oooo"s from the crowd but ultimately boring them to half-sleep by the time the 6th one was executed.
