junior heavyweight tag team title (2003/05/12)

NOAH announced on 2003/05/12 that it will create GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title. The tournament to crown the first champions will start on 2003/07/06 and will have 8 to 10 teams, including the ones from other organizations. The weight limit is 100kg.

Without seeing who is in the tournament and how they will be paired... I'd go with either Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Tsuyoshi Kikuchi or Jushin Liger & Koji Kanemoto (if they're in it to add credibility to the title). I would like to see someone from NOAH bring it home though.

phoenix, check how many posts you need before getting those icons in your options. Also, some icons are custom made for long time puro dojo forum veterans that have contributed mucho posts. As far as the JR tag tourney in NOAH, I like the idea of a half NOAH/half NJ team. But I think the best thing would be for a NOAH team to win in, maybe later lose to an established NJ squad, then get it back on a big NOAH show as a passing the torch/test type of thing to really establish themselves as worthy champs and adding credibility to the young titles. I like the Marafuji/Suzuki team but believe Suzuki is too green to be a member of the very first championship team, Kikuchi/Kanemaru have held gold before and I am big time Kanemaru fan, and if KENTA isn't in line to win JR singles gold, a team consisting of Marufuji and he would be simply wonderful, but he would likely stick with Burning member Kikuchi, with Kanemaru teamed with the underachieving Hashi. My preference would be Marufuji/KENTA over Liger/Samurai or TM IV/Heat in finals. I don't think that Liger/Kanemoto should put over a young NOAH team just yet, so I put Samurai in there to take the fall.
