Who will defeat Liger?????

Since Liger defeated Sugiura at the Tokyo Dome show today, my question is who will defeat Liger for the GHC Jr. Title.

I voted for Marafuji, quite simply because he's done the job to Tanahashi for the U30, and that quite simply, no one else in NOAH is worthy of defeating Liger.

More than likely KENTA would be sent after Liger...then Marifuji.

Marufuji is definitely higher up on the food chain than KENTA at this point. I'd be shocked if it was anyone other than him, since its the one thing that will make him something more than just NOAH's top junior. Let's face it, the GHC Jr. Title has no real lineage to speak of and NOAH's juniors may be pretty good, but they just don't have the victories over more established guys like Liger (other than Suguira's win a few months back). Liger putting over Marufuji for the title would be good for the belt and huge for Marufuji's career.

Yeah, Marafuji would be the more likely candidate as he's been built up as the NOAH JR Ace for a couple years now, though his "in-ness" seems to have passed, but doesn't everyone just about agree that the better NOAH Junior and perhaps the one that has the fans and wrestlers alike in agreement that he is the True Future of NOAH Jrs is KENTA. Why not go ahead and move KENTA to the forefront now, as this may be the only chance they get to have one of their own be put over by a legend. KENTA vs a jealous Marafuji for being passed up would be a great feud for NOAH to run, as their Tag belts would also put in jeopardy by their personal ambitions.

I like KENTA but I don't think that he should be defeating Liger at this point. Same for the IWGP JR division, I didn't agree with Tiger Mask IV or Heat as champions. Too young and not over enough.

KENTA shouldn't win this title yet.

Yeah, I was only listing his name as Heat since he really has no fan base as much as I can tell...

I didn't like any of these 2 for different reasons.

Heat: not over, why give him the title
TM IV: too young, not ready for a serious push

I like your idea, GlobalHonored, but I don't think KENTA's quite ready for that yet. I think a KENTA vs. Marufuji feud could definitely be money, but I'd wait until both of them are a bit more established so that its more than just a feud between 2 up-and-comers.

In that case my guess is that Liger will defeat him, as well as Marafuji and lose to KENTA on a later date...

Unless Misawa has the great idea of having himself keep the tag titles, defeat Kobashi to also hold the Heavyweight title and have his rat boy defeat Liger for the Junior crown...
