Gettin closer & closer to the Dome. Anyone know why KENTA is going through a single match trial? His opponents have been Juvi-Akiyama-RatBoy-now Takayama. Why go up against heavyweights? Especially Takayama... it doesn't make much sense to me.

I guess Misawa wants KENTA to be the one that beats Liger or it could be something more than what it seems.

Well I don't see him moving up into the heavyweight class, so maybe he'll swipe the title from Liger (but I think there's a 50/50 chance Yosh Kanemaru will grap it at the Dome).

I'm not sure if Marufuji has "it" yet. He won the J-Cup beating Takehiro Murahama but who else did he beat? It wasn't a prestigous J-Cup. Any chance of Liger dropping it to a non-NOAH guy? Takaiwa held the title at once. Maybe Liger will lose the title to someone from NJ or Z-1 (Maybe even Kashin!!) but I really don't think anyone in NOAH is in Liger's league.

Marifuji is the Hiroshi Tanahashi of NOAH, I believe he has "it", but when will anyone believe that he does? The hype is there he needs to just go for it.

I believe he will be the man that beats Liger. If it's not Kanemaru or Kenta or anyone, it'll be Marifuji.

If you say he's the Tanahashi of NOAH then I'll guess I'll take another look at him.

KENTA vs Takayama was a freaking brilliant match, if you have access to NOAH's G+ (net video, http://www.nifty.com/noah) watch it. Takayama sells everything, and KENTA looks like a threat at some points, which keeps the disbelief there in full effect.

but I really don't think anyone in NOAH is in Liger's league.
If we are talking about Lyger in his prime, no. But Lyger now? *** yes. Marufuji is not the best, but totally promising in his own right. I think the proof is in the pudding, with the fact that he is one of the head trainers at the NOAH dojo, and trained Kotaro Suzuki, whom is still green, but shows amazing potential at such an early stage in his career. Marufuji is a total blast to watch, and while not a great technical wrestler, he can still go. Don't judge him from that abomination of a J Cup, because it just doesn't work.

KENTA is going through his heavyweight trial series to strengthen him, simple enough. He is fighting all of the big names from NOAH, and doing his very best to grow stronger, faster. He will probably lose all of his matches, but the main point is that he is growing stronger, and will be not only able to 'hang' with top name juniors, but be able to beat them, in a believable fashion. KENTA right now is one of the top workers not only in NOAH, but the world. At this point, he is putting on matches that are above and beyond most Lyger material from the past few years, as well as every other junior around, its only a matter of time before KENTA is one of the top names in pro-wres.

And I do think there is a chance of KENTA and Marufuji becoming heavyweights some day. It really isn't that far off, you know. Misawa and Kawada both started off as juniors, and if you have seen early pictures of them, they were both very small, much like KENTA. But as you can see now, they have bulked up, and most of us couldn't imagine them any other way anymore.

    Basically, KENTA = Your Daddy.
