During the Tokyo Dome card on 2004/07/10, Rusher Kimura, the oldest active wrestler in Japan, appeared on the screen and announced his retirement. He said "it would be inconvenient for others if I continued to wrestle, so I decided to retire. Thank you, everyone. Good bye."
He sure deserves a big retirement ceremony. "King of the Steel Cage" is the true pioneer of the death matches in Japan. He went through a lot during his long career and does deserve a lot more respect than just announcing his retirement on the screen.
I agree, A legend should be honoured upon his retirement unless his name is Terry Funk or Atsushi Onita...
But seriously, best wishes to Rusher and the Kimura family and happy retirement.
I have lot all my respect for my namesake...there I would like to be known as WilliamsFan from now on...I feel disgraced with the name of Edge on me...
I will try to write more about him when I add a page dedicated to him in this website. Actually, I'm planning to add the pages for more wrestlers from the past such as Sorakichi Matsuda, Michiaki Yoshimura, Seiji Sakaguchi, etc., etc..
