Kobashi defending overseas+Marufuji's Next?

GHC Heavyweight Champ Kenta Kobashi stated today that he wants to defend the GHC Heavyweight Title overseas and mentioned the United States & United Kingdom as places where he would like to have a match. Kobashi mentioned that Bison Smith is a babyface in the United States and if he defended there, he said jokingly that he would have to work as a heel. Kobashi then said that Naomichi Marufuji is the leading contender for his 12th defense of the title due to beating Jun Akiyama for the GHC Openweight Title.

chances are that the foreign title defence is just simple grandstanding on noah's part.

It would be for a defense over here...Kobashi/Marufuji would be a good match, but a throwaway defense...

A defense in Pro Wrestling IRON wouldn't really be that out of the question for a defense in the U.S, seeing as Misawa and Ratboy have been there a few times, as well as others from NOAH. I'd be pretty skeptical of a U.K. defense though. It's not like NOAH workers run Hammerlock or FWA. However if it happened in IRON there's no chance at all of Kobashi being booed against anyone, working heel or not, nor anyone else from NOAH for that matter.

well i am letting some doubt creep into my "blowing smoke" arguement. as the wrestling chanel is aperently runing a interpromotional show in the uk with several feds who appear on the wrestling chanel. among them noah so that might be what kobashi is talking about.
