Back to back good looking shows from NOAH and All Japan.
No matter what troubles you have, always love life and live in triumph.
I agree, Awesome was Awesome before he arrived in WCW...
I have lot all my respect for my namesake...there I would like to be known as WilliamsFan from now on...I feel disgraced with the name of Edge on me...
Still to this day, can't understand what went wrong. Awesome was SO HOT. He was Awesome in ECW. WCW should have booked him like a killer, and have matches against Wrath, Goldberg & Nash...
Awesome's knee problems curtailed his promising rise to the top of the wrestling business. Ever since he returned from his knee surgery he hasnt been the same. However, Awesome's recent NOAH work has been good; he lost upwards of 6 pounds of weight prior to his NOAH debut, and there seems to be a spring in his step. If Kobashi/Gladiator is anywhere near as good as their Budokan match in 1999 then it will be worth seeking out.
The thing that awesome needs to get back on top is confidence from NOAH. Put him in some big matches and let him get back into the routine. I will be honest... i wish that NOAH would make awesome work up the ranks a little bit before getting a title shot but if they wait, there may never be a better time. He will not win but if the match is good... i could see him getting pushed up the card a little bit and going after the tag titles with somebody. I am a huge fan of awesome's and i wish him the best but this is where he could make or break himself. The guy looked horrible in MLW (i even questioned as to whether he was on crack, seriously) and didn't seem to be into it like he did in ECW. He looked lackluster at best and showed no energy at all. He is extremely talented and that talent doesnt go away after a surgery, so he can still go but will he... thats the question. Lets hope.
Awesome should lose this match, but if he gives Kobashi a good fight I could see them team up, or have Awesome team up with Bison Smith as a gajin tag team or something like that.
If he does a good job I could see Awesome get another title shot against the next champ as well.
Masahito Kakihara & Masayuki Naruse would be problaly 2 of the best Mis-Used Jr.'s in NJ that NOAH could get... Seriously, Naruse just flat out Pwns! He should be IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion again... But that's another story.
Well Kakihara is teaming with Iizuka and going after Naruse and Nagai for the All Asia Tag Titles, but thats another story.
I agree some of NJ's juniors need to jump ship and make their presence felt in NOAH, and this is also one reason I stated NOAH needs to build an academy and train young wrestlers (ala New Japan). A Monster Factory if you will.

How about sugiara winning and then facing takaiwa in an extremely stiff match? Those two going at it would be pretty awesome eh? As for this card, its not too shabby.
