Talking Who will be the next GHC Champion?

IMO, Misawa could be the next champ, I read that he was considering making another run at the title...anybody out there have any ideas who you'd want to see beat Kobashi?

Misawa would be very stupid to take it again. He needs to build new stars in NOAH. But his ego might actually make him act like an idiot 1 more time.

Kobashi should have lost to Akiyama.

I agree with Luds, but I think Rikio or Morishima will eventually win it...

And after a 2 month reign where ticket sales go nowhere, Misawa defeats Rikio

    Or even worse... Ratboy...

Well i don't think that misawa woud be dumb to take the title sometime again but not to beat kobashi. Misawa, as champion, would really need to help put over the next guy in line.... morshima. Thats just my opinion but i think that somewhere a good kensuke sasaki reign would be great to help put over akiyama, who would pin then pin him to become champion.

I dont want to see Akiyama, Misawa or any established star win it right now. I think NOAH should give it to a younger, up and coming star (after appropriate build of course) because if they keep relying on middle aged workers, when they're no longer fit to compete, it will be alot harder to build other talent.

Please dont get on my case too bad.

It makes sense, Indy, but Rikio and Morishima are really undeserving right now.

I'd give it to Akiyama and then drop it to someone else after 2 or 3 months.

While Misawa's ego would probably like another run it'd probably not like putting someone below the level of Kobashi, Akiyama etc over. So I guess there won't be another Misawa reign that soon.

quite frankley i do not see anybody in noah who coude be a fresh challanger for the title(let alone champ) misawa has quite frankly booked himself into a corner with the heavies. mabey they could have a big name outsider like tenryu or kensuke sasaki win it for a few months or something.

I'd rather see someone like Tenryu, Sasaki, or Takayama win the title than Rikio that's for sure.

I find it interesting that this question has been asked 3 different times on 3 different threads since Kobashi won and the general consensus has always been that Akiyama should win...

First off, the reason that is edge is because a lot of people are closet akiyama fans. BUT Oh my gosh, i love takayama, tenryu, and sasaki but nobody needs to beat kobashi that isnt named rikio, morshima, or akiyama. I think that rikio probably wins saturday and i will be happy with that. Rikio's getting great crowd reactions and the fans really like him a lot right now. Now having said that, morshima in about a year or two will be hot stuff. The fans love this guy because of his natural charisma and really want to see him succeed. The way i see it, Misawa isn't booking himself into a corner at all because he does have future stars and the fans are going to continue to support them. So now here is my plan for the GHC title for the next couple of years.

Rikio- He wins this saturday against kobashi. Rikio defends the title up until about september (after the noah tournament) with about 4-5 defenses.
The tournament has a big part in all of this as Akiyama (who pinned tenryu in the semis) pins Misawa(who pinned morshima in the semis) in the tournament finals. THEN...
    Rikio loses to sasaki.

Kensuke- After his win with rikio, kensuke defends into early 2006. Idealy kensuke defends 3-4 times. Giving defenses to a few outsiders and the likes of morshima and finally Akiyama, who wins against sasaki.

Akiyama- This is where Akiyama could really make a name for himself and really defend the title against some outside talent, (tenryu and ohtani) and originals like kobashi and takayama. After his defense to kobashi, which he narrowly wins, misawa faces Akiyama and pins Akiyama at the big dome show as payback for the pin in the tournament finals.

Now at this point guys you have three brand new champions and have put the title back on *** himself.

Misawa- Misawa gets his dream matches out of the system and helps make the GHC title that more prestigous by defending against kobashi, taue, tenryu, mutoh, and finally morshima. Morshima gets the rub and beats Misawa after the foreshadowing in the tournament by misawa beating morshima.

Morshima- Defends the title against the Noah regulars and after 3 defenses barely wins against akiyama. Morshima then defends against kobashi and narrowly wins yet again, but finally loses the title to Rikio to come full circle.

This is my plan for the GHC title. The end results put akiyama as the premier name in Noah once again with Rikio a close second and morshima nipping at their heels all while Misawa got that one last run to show the fans what puroresu is all about. Unlikely? Maybe. Awesome? Of course! Please give some feed back and by all means make your own predictions. I am really interested to find out what everyone thinks is going to happen.
