Toshiaki Kawada will make his first wrestling appearance in NOAH at their July 18th Dome show...He shook hands with Misawa at today's NOAH Budokan show...Kensuke Sasaki will also appear, facing Kenta Kobashi...

this year's dome show is shaping up pretty darn well:
-Kobashi VS Sasaki
-Misawa VS Kawada in some capactiy (I'm hoping it shomehow ends up being Misawa & Rickio VS Kawada & Kojima , thus setting up : Kawada VS Misawa , Kawada VS Rickio and maybe even Misawa VS Kojima)

THey certainly won't face off in 1 on 1 or Kobashi vs. Sasaki would seem pretty useless...

Misawa vs. Kawada, and a GHC Heavyweight title match between Morishima & Rikio is plenty for a sell out crowd.

Sasaki vs. Kobashi should be kept for another show.

And don't expect a 60min time limit draw because there will be no time limit for this match (at least that's what's reported on SportsNavi).

Well if that's the case Hisa, I would expect either a DDQ, DCO, or no contest finish.

In theory, Misawa could also job to Kawada as he's the one inviting him to a NOAH show and he's the one who needs Kawada in order to sell out the Tokyo dome... But we all know Misawa

I can't see them doing this, for it would really kill all excitment for any future dream match (Misawa vs. Mutoh for example) that they plan on doing down the road. I don't care who wins as long as it is a good match, I just want Kawada to kick out of the Tiger Driver '91.

For some reason, i'm a fan of doing the other wrestler's spots and I think i'd love to see kawada drop misawa with a tiger driver 91 or misawa win via ganso bomb. That would be sick. As i've discussed on other boards, this better be done so that both kawada and sasaki come back to NOAH on a regular basis. Based on the crowd reaction that I saw from kawada showing up, let alone wrestling, Misawa would be quite dumb not to give him the title after rikio. I'd actually like to see both outsiders win with both of them coming back out to heckle Rikio after his win in the main event. That'd surely get some reaction wouldnt it?

I'm just shocked that this match is taking place. I thought there was a lot of bad blood between them. Guess I was wrong.

There is bad blood between them, and it goes back a long way. But since Kawada is the freelancer that isn't called a freelancer, and isn't getting any younger, he's going to take any big payday that comes his way.

While I share your wishes for Kawada to go over, since Misawa only owes him about a million jobs, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Misawa jobs to Kawada about as often as Nagata wins shoots. Then again, when Misawa does go over, he could be getting Kawada ready for the beatings he's going to take in PRIDE. Now there's a disaster waiting to happen.

Kawada in PRIDE... WTF? I've heard a lot but Pride? He'd have a better chance in k-1. Get any good ground fighter and it's over.

Also his knees. Thats a bulls eye. If Kawada goes I may lose a little respect for him.

Another one of Kawada's brilliant ideas. He wants to start fighting as early as December. My theory on this is that while he's been working HUSTLE Ogawa has been telling him all of the great things it will do for his wrestling career, and Kawada believed him. In reality, Ogawa is jealous that HUSTLE K is more over than Captain HUSTLE, and is trying to trick Kawada into doing something that will kill his heat. It's the closest thing to a logical explanation I can come up with.

Then again, he's also working for Misawa now, and there's a lot of bad blood there. Maybe he's just looking for a big payday, and if that's the case, he'll certainly get one for his first fight.

Maybe Kawada just learned to shoot, not to really go in Pride, but to have legit technique when facing Misawa.

If we're lucky, Kawada will shoot on Misawa and leave him unconscious in the middle of the ring at the Tokyo Dome
